The swimming area within the Marina is a great place to bring young kids for a swim as it is a well protected, there are no waves and the shallow area extends a fair way out. There is also a pontoon with two slides about 50m off shore that older children can swim out to. There are a few shade sails erected in summer, but if you want to set up camp right on the water's edge make sure you bring your own small shade. BBQs are located on the grassed area near the beach if you want to enjoy a BBQ breakfast, lunch or dinner with your swim at the beach.
The playground is located right on the beach approximately 20m from the waters edge. The playground is suitable for pretty much all ages, and has a great little boat the kids can sit in. It is shaded for most of the summer months, but the shade is usually removed in winter.
...perfect spot for swimming and making sand castles all day.....
