Synergy Parkland is located in Kings Park just minutes drive from Perth City, and is a must visit for older kids, especially for the young lover of dinosaurs!

Synergy Parkland can easily be accessed from Saw Ave or Poole Ave, and has been specifically designed for kids aged 6 years +. If features a large wooden elevated playground, island playground with water mist forest, dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, and lots and lots of manicured lawns, making this the perfect place for a picnic for families with bigger kids!

You can bring a picnic lunch, or use one of the free electric barbeques, or grab a bite to eat from either Bovell Kiosk (weekends and holidays only) or Zamia Cafe (see website link below for opening times).  Zamia Cafe also do great takeaway platters so if you want to hold a family gathering or party this is a great way to cater without all the hassle (see website for more information, preorder required for platters).

Make sure you bring a spare change of clothes along as there is a water mist forest on the playground located on the island in the middle of the man made lake.   The playground is access via a boardwalk from either side.  Being on an island it is surrounded by shallow (approx 30-40cm deep) water so close supervision of children is required here.

The gardens in this play area are carefully manicured and kept so there are some restrictions.  You cannot stake anything into the ground, portable bbqs are not permitted and ice from eskies must be emptied into mulched areas only.

During the warmer months you will also find the Moonlight Outdoor Cinema here.  You can see movies listings and purchase tickets here.

You can also book the Vietnam Memorial Pavillion - perfect for a winter or heat of summer party.  It also has power access. Platters can be organised from Zambia Cafe located within the park.
