Summer is here so that means it's time to start planning your next outdoor family movie night.  You can't let summer go by without seeing a movie under the stars at one of Perth's fantastic Outdoor Cinema venues.  Here are our Top 6 outdoor movie screening picks for your family this Perth summer 2015/2016.

So pack the mosquito repellent, grab your favourite bean bag, pack the picnic basket and join your family for a movie favourite under the stars.

The Grinch (PG) @ Northbridge Piazza

Saturday 19th December, 5.30pm

Your family can see The Grinch as part of the Northbridge Piazza Free Flicks for Kids series.  If you get there early you can grab a bean bag but bring along your own or a picnic rug just in case you miss out.  Lots of eateries around the Northbridge Piazza so enjoy the movie before or after a meal out in Northbridge.

Catch the beautiful family movie Oddball under the stars in the Perth Hills with the state forest providing a dramatic background. Mundaring a little far for you to go? Why don't you camp the night at the Hills National Parks Visitors Centre across the road. Gates open at 6.30, movie starts at 8pm.

Oddball (G)n 2015: An eccentric chicken farmer, with the help of his grand daughter, trains his mischievous do Oddball to protect a penguin sanctuary from fox attacks in an attempt to reunite his famiy and save the seaside town.

Hotel Transylvania 2 @ Moonlight Cinemas Kings Park

Friday 1st January 

Bring in the new year at this big family screening event of Hotel Transylvania 2 at the beautiful Moonlight Cinemas at Synergy Parkland Kings Park.  The kids can enjoy a play at the amazing playground here, then enjoy the movie from 8pm. Bring your own food and drinks along (incl. alcohol) or purchase something delicious to eat or drink at the licensed venue.

Maybe you could treat the family to an extra special night out and purchase "Gold Grass" tickets for the best view, bean beds and only the best VIP treatment.

Hotel Transylvania 2 (PG) 2015: Everything seems to be changing for the better at Hotel Transylvania... Dracula’s rigid monster-only hotel policy has finally relaxed, opening up its doors to human guests.

It's the movie that just wont go away, but whether you love it or not, this Frozen Sing-a-Long will be popular. Gates open at 6.30pm and you can BYO food and non-alcholic drinks, or grab something to yummy to eat and drink when you arrive. Movie screens at 7.45pm

Frozen (PG) 2013: When the newly crowned Queen Elsa accidently uses her power to turn things into ice to curse her home in infinite winter, her sister Anna, teams up wiht a mountain man, his playful reindeer and a snowman to change the weather condition.

Saturday 13th February

See the gorgeous new movie The Good Dinosaur under the stars. Gates open at 6.30pm and you can BYO food and non-alcholic drinks, or grab something to yummy to eat and drink when you arrive. Movie screens at 7.45pm. After the movie head out of the venue to the banks of the Swan River to see the Chinese New Year fireworks presented by Crown Perth.

The Good Dinosaur (G) 2015: In an alternate world where dinosaurs never became extinct, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend.
