Colonial Brewery in Margaret River is perfect for families looking for somewhere to eat, drink and relax with the family. We visit Margaret River often, and like to try new places, but must admit, when we take friends with family out in Margaret River, this is our number one place to go.





Only 10 mins drive north of Margaret River, the brewery has a beautiful backdrop, it's nestled amongst small farms and vineyards, there is always friendly service and of course for the parents their award winning ale and wine from the local Margaret River region. The whole atmosphere is amazing especially if there's some local talent playing on the stage.

For the kids, there is a massive playground, and a huge grassed area, so they can run around all afternoon long. They also have some great cow statues from the recent Margaret River Cow Festival that the kids will love having a photo with.

Colonial doesn't have the largest selection on their menu, but the food they do serve is always delicious and is perfect to eat with a beer or glass of wine. There's a great kids menu too (if you can get them off the playground to sit down and eat!). Plenty of high chairs available too.

There is indoor and alfresco dining so you can eat here no matter what the weather. In the warmer months there are bean bags scattered around so you can sit back and enjoy a drink out on the grass too. For parents with young babies, there are a couple of comfy couches so you can feed baby in comfort. There is no change table but there is plenty of grassed area you can lay baby down on for a nappy change.

When in Margaret River head to Colonial Brewery where the kids can play and the parents can relax and enjoy a meal and a Colonial beer or local wine or cider.
