Colour Block (Lego) Park Golden Bay

Throw yourself into the world of lego play at the fun and bright Colour Block Park

Block Themed Playground | Trampolines | Picnic Tables | No Toilets | No BBQs

Colour Block Parkin Golden Bay is as the name suggests – A playground made out of brightlycoloured blocks!

This fun littlepark features a main play structure with blocks to climb, a rope bridge and abright yellow slide. While this park is aimed more at younger kids, the ropebridge leading to the slide is quite challenging to cross. My toddlerdefinitely couldn’t make it across by himself.

Underneath the playstructure is a tunnel which is hiding two playable games – A puzzle and “4 in arow

Around the edges ofthe playground are more coloured blocks to climb or balance on, as well as somesand play equipment including a funnel and a digger.

This park hasalso included large tractor wheels (which seems to be a continuing theme in theparks in this area), this time to make a play tractor! This was a favouritewith my toddler who spent the majority of the time sitting on it and spinningthe driving wheel.

A popular featureof the newer playgrounds is inbuilt mini trampolines, and this park has 3! Ihave to admit I even enjoyed having a bounce on them.

The playground iscompletely covered by shade sails and also features a covered picnic table, butno barbecues or toilets. There is plenty of grass to run around on and a smalldecked area apparently to use for yoga, though I’m not sure how relaxing itwould be doing yoga next to a playground full of kids.

If you find yourkids are a bit bored by this park, the Orang-utan Parkis just around the corner and is more suitable for older kids. Make a day of itand playground hop all the parks in GoldenBay including the Orang-Utan Park and Sunset Hill Park.
