Edwardes Park Spearwood

Nature Based Play | Double Cable Flying Fox | Basketball Ring | Football Goals | Toilets Open During Sporting Activities Only

In 2017 a nature based play area and double cable flying fox was added to the existing traditional playground at Edwardes Park. The nature based play area has been built using natural and recycled materials.

A large black plastic pipe has been re-sued to create a big tunnel to run or crawl through or just hang about in. It's slightly elevated with tyres on the other side to climb up, so kids can slide down the tunnel too.

A series of blocks and logs are laid out to create a series of balancing logs and stepping stones alongside the original traditional playground that is still in place.

The double cable flying fox features an all abilities platform and an all abilities seat and is the star attraction of this playground.

There are is also a large sports oval, footy goals and a basketball hoop at Edwardes Park.

If your kids love nature play and adventure they will love Edwardes Park. There's lots of room to run around on the sports oval too, so bring the footy and the basketball along too.
