Nature Play Area | Karda Bidi Bush Walk Trail | River Access | Seating | Picnic Tables | No Toilets | No BBQs
Get your kids out of the house and into nature at the beautiful Point Resolution Reserve Dalkeith. You can play at the little nature play area overlooking the Swan River then get your walking shoes on and explore the Karda Bidi bush walk trail that runs along the river's edge.
Here you can find a little nature based play area with swings, logs and a picnic table that overlooks the Swan River from an elevated position.
You can park your car in front of the play area on the verge on Victoria Ave or park in the parking area (which is a turn around driveway with parking along the sides located near the corner of Jutland Pde and Victoria Ave) and wander down to the play area (the play area is approx 100-150m from the carpark).
This area is currently under upgrade so there will be a footpath from the parking area to the playground soon, so you can enjoy a walk, scooter or ride along the footpath between the carpark and the playground soon. For now it's a nice shady, grassy walk to the carpark where you can access the Karda Bidi Walk Trail that has access points the the river's edge.
The Karda Bidi Walk Trail is 10.6km long and starts at the far end of Victoria Street in Claremont and extends around the river's edge to Matilda Bay then extends inland to Rosalie Park Subiaco (across from Kings Park). Point Resolution Reserve is one of the points along the way between the start and the middle of the trail. You can find more about the Karda Bidi Walk Trail as well as get a map with the trail features here
From the car parking area at Point Resolution Reserve Dalkeith you will find a couple of entry points to the trail. Wander up and down this trail and you will find access points to the river's edge. The trail is best walked it's not really suitable for prams with steps that take you down to the bush trail and back up to the top of the hill.
One of the entry points takes you down to this absolutely stunning rocky beach. The rocks extend into the water and the water is crystal clear. Perfect for having a splash on a warm day. It's only a short walk from the car parking area so you may want to bring a picnic rug and picnic basket along. This is a beautiful spot to stop and just soak it all in. A true hidden gem.
One of the entry points to the trail has a set of woodoen stairs, so if you love to add some stairs to your walk or workout this a lovely spot for some exercise in nature. There are no toilets or bbqs at Point Resolution Reserve Dalkeith, but there are picnic tables, seating and lots of grassed area and bushland to explore.
If you are looking to unplug, unwind and get the family out on a mini adventure that is suitable for young children too, you will love a play, explore, walk, picnic and splash by the river at Point Resolution Reserve Dalkeith.
