A visit to Santaland Myer Perth is a must do this Christmas. It's a magical, free Christmas experience not to be missed. If you are wanting to get family Santa photos done this is a great place to do it too.
In the last couple of years Myer have introduced and online booking system for Santaland - so now you can book a time slot so you don't have to line up for hours as per previous years. Just book your time, check in with Santa's helpers and before very long at all you are being summoned for your private visit with Santa and Rudolph. From our experience last year, this system works as perfectly as Santa's toy workshop in the South Pole. We didn't need to line up, saw Santa within minutes of arriving, and enjoyed Santaland with several other children. We truly enjoyed a magical Christmas experience.
When we arrived for our pre-booked time slot, my son was given his golden ticket for the train ride and we had a short play at Santaland where there is a small play area, toys and movies screening before Santa was ready to see us. We visited mid week end of November, so it may get a little busier close to Christmas and on weekends. We recommend you book to go as early as you can and mid week if possible.
My son had about 10 mins with Santa in a private room, where he sat on his knee and gave Santa his Christmas list. He posed for a few photos that they photoshoped some images onto - to get this photo of my son feeding the reindeer. Photo packages start from $27.50 for a twin pack and you can add USB, email and digitally enhanced images to your package. You also get free low resolution facebook uploads of your photos (please check with Myer for up to date prices)
Up to 4 kids can visit Santa in each time slot. If you have more than 4 kids you'll need to book a 2nd time slot.
Kids will also love Rudolph who's chest goes up and down as if he is breathing, as he sleeps by the fire alongside Santa. Isn't he he just gorgeous?
After finishing our visit with Santa it was back to Santaland for a play. There is no hurry for you to leave you can stay as long as you like your time slot is only allocated for your time with Santa. Here kids can watch a movie, play with toys, enjoy the small playground and of course the favourite - use that golden ticket to ride the Santaland train! This is also free and included in your visit to Santaland (please note in 2017 the train will be replaced with a virtual train experience).
My son had a blast playing Dragons vs Transformer Dinosaurs with one of Santa's Helpers
All in all we had an amazing experience. It was nice and quiet, well organised, we loved our photos and overall had a fantastic day in the city. After Santaland it was back to the Water Labyrinth again for another splash before catching the train home again. We had great fun playing around taking photos with the Free Visit Perth City Virtual Friends App while we were there.
We highly recommend that you put a visit to Santaland on your must do this Christmas list. It's completely free, with the option to purchase photos, and will give your children a magical experience they will treasure. We recommend booking as early as you can and visiting during the week if it is possible to enjoy the least busy and quietest experience.
