Shopping Centre activities are a great idea for the school holidays, and a fun free thing to do with kids in Perth. Many shopping centres in Perth and the surrounds offer free activities and events throughout the school holidays. Check out the list below to find out what's happening at your local shopping centre. Make sure you check if bookings are required to avoid disappointment!

Brickman Awesome Animals Exhibition | 4th - 21st July

Get up close and personal with some Awesome Animals in Centre created by The Brickman team including the Awesome Orca. Measuring 2.4m this magnificent creature is made of 14,200 bricks and weighs in at an impressive 300kg! Entry to the exhibition is free and suitable for all ages. Also enjoy interactive brick pit sessions and a meet and greet day with Ryan "Brickman" McNaught. www.stockland.com.au



Westfield Whitfords
Ninja Academy | 6th - 14th July

The Ninja Academy is bringing their world class ninja warrior style obstacle course to Westfield Whitford City, 6th - 14th July. Brush up on your ninja skills as you balance, swing and soar through the course. Finish strong and conquer the infamous four metre Warped Wall. Ninja specialists will be at the event to explain each obstacle and give participants tips and tricks. Up for the challenge?

25 minute sessions are free but limited to 20 per session (for kids 6 years +). Parent supervision required. Secure your child's place by booking a free session at www.westfield.com.au

Get Skating at the Wanneroo Central Ice Rink | 7th - 21st July

The ice is calling, the skates are waiting, the Wanneroo Central Ice Rink opens Monday 8 July. Bring the kids down, grab some skates and join the fun. NAIDOC Week Community Art Project | 8th - 11th July 

Hawaiian’s Forrestfield will celebrate NAIDOC Week through interactive community art projects with local Indigenous artists. Celebrated across Australia, NAIDOC Week recognises the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The project aims to celebrate the diversity and richness of Indigenous history and culture through community collaboration.

Celebrated Noongar artist Seantelle Walsh will undertake commissioned artworks at Hawaiian’s Forrestfield shopping centre, inviting shoppers and community members to collaborate in their art piece. Collectively, with all individual pieces placed together, the art display will reflect this year’s NAIDOC Week theme: Voice. Treaty. Truth. 10am - 1pm. www.facebook.com/hawaiiansforrestfield
