Runs from 7.30am-11.30am every Sunday (no market last Sunday December)
The Stirling Farmer's Market, is held every Sunday next to the Stirling Council building on Cedric Street.
The Stirling Market is run by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup and has everything you need for a great early Sunday morning family outing. It has fruit, vegetable and other produce stalls, as well as yummy food stalls so you can get something for breakfast. The stalls are set up in the council carpark, so you will see the regular stalls there, but you also might see some new stalls each week.
Enjoy a coffee and light entertainment while the kids run around!
There's a great little area set up with tables and chairs under the shade, which is perfect place for your to sit back and relax and enjoy a coffee and some breakfast. We sat here on the grass and enjoyed the solo guitarist, and a coffee while the kids had a ball running around on the grassed area and munching on a 500g container of strawberries we bought for $2 (note: there are portable toilets located near this area).
As you can see there is only a little bit of shade in the cafe area and the whole market is out in the sun, so next time I will bring hats along.
There are several fruit and vegetable stalls, so you can get your fresh produce at a bargain price, one of the fruit stalls sells all fruit for $3.50 per kg, so no weighing lots of bags, just throw it all in one bag and pay!
There were a couple of organic fruit and vegetable stalls also.
And if it's breakfast or an early lunch you are after there was a crepe stall, a delicious bread stall and a sauerkraut sausage stall - and of course there are a couple of coffee vans to choose from too.
There are lots of homemade local produce stalls, so you'll enjoy sampling so new delights too! We sampled and bought some yummy cookies from Cookies in a Rush, unfortunately the cookies didn't make it home, but they went to a good homes within seconds :)
Unfortunately this stall will not be at the market again in the near future, but check out some of the work from the Men's Shed. The rocking horse pictured below was only $30. They said if you can contact the Men's Shed if you are interested in purchasing any of these items, you may even be able to talk to them about anything custom made wood items.
We highly recommend the Sunday Stirling Farmer's Market if you are looking for a relaxing Sunday morning out with the family. Make sure you take you re-usable shopping bags and stock up with heaps of fresh fruit, vegetables and other produce - and take your dog along, they are welcome on this family morning out as long as they are on a lead!
