The Christmas Lights Trail Perth

Nightly Until December 24th, 2018 from 6pm

Explore parts of the city you may never had been before and experience the magic of Christmas in the city on the Perth City Christmas Lights Trail.  Choose from one of two trails, or do them both, and see if you can find all 18 light installations place around our beautiful city.

We started on the Christmas Lights Trail at #16 the Light Labyrinth at Hibernian Place. We didn't even know this beautiful dining precinct was there, and it's only a couple of blocks from the Hay Street Mall. With big grassed area, bean bags and a few dining options including Huxtaburger, it's a great place to dine with the kids while in the city. Plus you can find the Light Labyrinth here every night until December 24th,

From here we made our way back along Hay Street to check out the Stained Glass Christmas Tree #14 and the Library Lights #15 on our way to #18 Hoppy Christmas.

We visited on a school night so had to head into the city quite early. We recommend however you enjoy some dinner in the city first as it's best to hit the trail much after 7 when it's darker plus you can catch the Christmas Lights Projections #17 from 7.30pm.

After checking out #18 Hoppy Christmas (which was the favourite of the night) we wandered back along Hay Street and down the mall to see the Light Up Christmas Tree #13 and #12 Twinkle Twinkle.

Next was Around The World #11 which look spectacular under the full moon out that night.

It was starting to get a little late, so we made our way back to the car via the Murray Street Mall and had a play #9 Jingle All the Way (at 140 Perth), not sure if this one was supposed to make music but the kids had fun jumping from one light to the next.

Last by not least was the amazing City of Perth Christmas Tree. It's 12m tall and you can walk through the middle of it!

As you can see you need to allocate quite a few hours to follow the trail if you want to do it all. We drove past Northbridge on the way home and got a quick peak at Santa's Magical Castle #1 in the Perth Cultural Centre and it looked absolutely amazing.

You can find the full trail information and link to download the map at www.visitperth.com,au. You can enjoy the Christmas Lights Trail in Perth City, every night from 6pm until Christmas Eve.
