The Muse Garden Cafe is located on the grounds of the Western Australian Musuem. The cafe reflects the heritage of the musuem with a historical setting inside and beautiful garden setting outside. It's open daily from 10-4pm
We were lucky to visit on a warm winter's day in the July school holidays, while spending the day in the city enjoying the school holiday activities, so we sat outside and enjoyed the stunning garden setting. The gardn features furniture and ornaments pretty much all look like there were collected from a kerbside collection, giving it a vintage feel, fitting with the historical aspect of the musuem.
The kids loved playing on the fuseball tabe and the piano in the garden area. It's certainly a nice, bright spot to enjoy some fresh air and a play while you enjoy a light meal or coffee.
The Muse Cafe Garden Cafe has a beautiful range of light meals, cakes, slices, teas and coffees. There isn't a kids menu, and there wasn't a lot on the menu my fussy eaters were interested in, but they did share a large sausage roll with me and had a juice each.
There is seating inside The Muse Garden Cafe, with the old fashioned theme extending inside. There are a few rooms with old fashioned lounges where you can enjoy a game of cards over your meal or coffee. Of course if it's nice outside though you just can't beat relaxing in the amongst the garden and the birds.
