Bunbury has a population of over 31,000 people and covers an area of nearly 20 square kilometres. Bunbury is situated on the banks of the Collie River and is surrounded by beautiful beaches and parks.

The first European settlement in the area was established in 1836 by Captain James Stirling. The town was originally named "Bunbury" after Colonel William Stuart Bunbury, who was a member of the British Parliament at the time.
In 1841, Bunbury has declared a town and began to grow rapidly. Today, Bunbury is a thriving city with a rich history and culture.

Bunbury is home to a number of cultural attractions, including the Art Gallery of Western Australia, the Western Australian Museum, and the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre. The city also hosts a number of festivals and events throughout the year.
