Keep the kids entertained this July School Holidays with this list of free events around Perth. Most are suitable for rainy days too, so if you are lost for ideas  or the budget is getting a little tight, just have a scroll down this list you are bound to find something free to do each day of the holidays.

#1 Wild Life Show Perth Town Hall - June 28th - July 20th

Perth Town Hall comes alive during the school holidays with a series of free events including children's workshops, live native animal showings, and a history exhibition - telling the story of the Wild Life Shows of the 1950s and 60s. #2 Perth City Snow Slide Forrest Place - July 2nd - 17th

You'll need to be quick for this one. Week One free ticket allocations are open now. Week Two ticket allocations open Monday July 4th. Enjoy one of 12 daily, 25 min sessions between 10am and 4.25pm.  Get your FREE tickets now at

#3 Dinosaur Discovery with Perth Zoo at Elizabeth Quay - July 2nd - 9th

Through this interactive performance, participants will discover clues which help scientists track down these incredible creatures from the past, learn about the adaptations they share with present day animals and most importantly, find out what we can do to prevent future extinctions. There will be three 30 minute sessions daily at 10am, 11am, 12pm. Find out more at

#4 Safari Zoo at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre - July 4th -16th

Life-like moving displays including an elephant, a zebra, a parrot and a giraffe family. The displays will be located all around the centre from Monday 4 - Saturday 16 July, see if you can find them all! Plus, enter the Jungle Craft Zone between 11am and 2pm daily. #5 On The Go With Lego at Revolutions Museum Whiteman Park - July 2nd -17th

Ok this isn't FREE it's $1 per child, but we figured it's close enough to free! Get inventive at  LEGO® and DUPLO® creative stations and design a vehicle of the future. Go hunting for the hidden brick models around the Museum or solve some DUPLO® puzzles. Plus,  don’t miss seeing the specially designed LEGO® model village display with its own moving train! 10-4pm daily.  And why don't you check out the NEW updated Whiteman Park playground while you are there.

#6 Karrinyup Shopping Centre Finding Dory Immersive Zone July 2nd - 10th

Finding Dory Immersive Zone includes: The Reef – Help Dory remember with the memory matching game on the reef; The Migration Tunnel – Travel with the manta rays through the migration tunnel and make your way through the ancient kelp forest; The Marine Life Institute – Help camouflage Hank the Septipus with colourful craft;  A Chat with Destiny – Learn to speak whale with Destiny the Whale Shark; Face Painting and Craft Activity. 11-3pm

#7 Garden City Booragoon Magic Maze - July 5th - 17th

Use the Maze activity booklet to unlock mysteries and unravel riddles to find your way through the 22-metre -long hedge maze. Abundant with giant toadstools and other mystical marvels the Magic Maze is sure to entertain the imaginations of children of all ages. Find out more at

#8 IKEA Kids Academy - July 6th - 8th and  13th -15th

Free activities each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the school holidays. Join in Balloon Twisting Workshops Tuesdays, Design a Cupcake Wednesdays and Beads and Bracelet Workshops Thursdays. 9-11am. Find out more at

#9 The Good Dinosaur Cockburn Gateway - July 4th - 15th

Meet Arlo & crawl through the Adventure Tree or catch the runaway Fireflys. You can even see Arlo’s Family Tree and view the Dinosaur Gallery. 11-2pm. Also see a special screening of The Good Dinosaur Saturday 16th July.

#10 Pop Up Play In Ellenbrook - July 4th - 15th

A range of ‘loose parts’ material such as logs, pipes, tyres, timber and shade cloth will be placed at Coolamon Oval, Ellenbrook for children to play with in diverse, imaginative and creative ways. Find our more at
