We are lucky to live in a wonderful city that hosts so many free family friendly events, month after month. Here are the top FREE February Perth Family Events 2019, so you can enjoy a day or night out with the family that won't break the bank.

Saturday 16th - Music at Murdoch

Now in its third year, Music at Murdoch returns for an unforgettable night of live music, food and entertainment, set amongst the eucalymjsptus trees at Bush Court at Murdoch University. This year, Aria Award winner and winner of the X-Factor Series 4 Samantha Jade and her band will light up the stage, with support acts from Ben Merito and his band, Kiara Eve and the One Big Voice school group. This free non-ticketed event is the perfect family night out, with a range of food vans, live entertainment and children’s activities on offer. 4:30pm - 9pm. Friday 1st to Sunday 17th - Fringe World Continues, Various Perth Locations

Fringe World continues throughout February with a large range of free family entertainment on offer including the very popular Fringe World Mermaids, Street Performers, concerts, an all ages dance party and more! Saturday 2nd - Sweet Street Party Display Village Launch, Aveley

To launch the new new display village in Aveley, Stockland Vale are holding a Sweet Street party. Expect plenty of interior design inspo, celebs, free fun and giveaways! There will be a  live room makeover by Channel 9's Ronnie and Georgia, Healthy cooking demos by celebrity chef Herb Faust, Free rainbow lolly bar, Free fresh juice bar, Free face-painting and balloon giveaways, Free sausage sizzle, Free coffee, Free entertainment and activities for the kids and Food trucks and ice-cream vans. Sunday 3rd - Calleya Morning of Fun, Treeby

Join in for a free morning of celebrities, giveaways and fun! There will be a 60 minute live room makeover by Ch 9's Ronnie and Georgia, Celebrity Iron Chef Herb Faust will be doing cooking demos to show you how to create quick weekday dinners on a family friendly budget, Ch9 will be onsite with a pop up 3 pt basketball game and giveaways, FREE Rainbow Lolly Buffet, FREE Sausage Sizzle, FREE Coffee from Mooba, FREE Fresh juice bar with apple, orange and watermelon, FREE Balloon Art and Face Painting plus, home experts on hand to answer all your questions. 9am - 12pm. Friday 8th - Community Fan Day with the Perth Wildcats, Forrestfield

Calling all community members and Red Army fans - join Hawaiian's Forrestfield and take part in the Community Fan Day on Friday 8 February. Running from 4.30pm – 7.30pm, this event will have kids of all ages in awe as they get to meet idols - Perth Wildcats Captain Damian Martin, Angus Brandt, Clint Steindl, Rhys Vague, Jesse Wagstaff and Mitchell Norton. This jam-packed full of fun event will host a number of different activities including:  The opportunity to shoot hoops on a custom-made Wildcats basketball half court including a competition element!, Have your favorite memorabilia signed, Snap a photo booth selfie and more. 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Friday 8th to Monday 11th - Boorna Waanginy, Kings Park

The extraordinary hit of 2017, Boorna Waanginy, is back to transform Kings Park into a nocturnal wonderland over four spectacular nights. Saturday 9th - Wandjoo Festival, Jindalee

The Jindalee Foreshore will come alive this February with the City of Wanneroo’s Wandjoo Festival, a celebration of local Aboriginal history and culture. The free family event will showcase local Aboriginal businesses and feature live performances from dance groups and musical acts including Koolangkas Kreate, Struggling Kings, Angela Rule and hip hop acts Fluent and Syllabolix. There will also be dance workshops and a host of free activities for festival goers to try including basket weaving, and headband and necklace making. 11am - 3pm. Sunday 10th - Perth Chinese New Year Fair

The 2019 Perth Chinese New Year Fair comes to Northbridge on Sunday 10 February, noon to 9pm. This multicultural extravaganza includes a parade, stalls, cultural activities, lion and dragon dancing, multicultural concert, games and rides. Sunday 10th - Giant Park at Bushmead Grand Opening, Hazelmere

Join in for the GRAND OPENING of the GIANT PARK in Bushmead! Officially opening on Sunday 10th February, the event will be filled of fun activities for the entire family to enjoy including:  GIANT inflatable ball pit, water slide and sprinkler run, GIANT games including Kerplunk and Twister,  GIANT picnic, GIANT sausage sizzle and so much MORE! 3pm - 6pm. Saturday 16th - Kidz Fest, Ascot

Continue the summer holiday fun and join us on the 16 February from 11am to 5pm for the City of Belmont’s FREE annual Kidz Fest! This year children can enjoy loads of free entertainment, live performances, amusement rides and DIY workshops for an extended 6 hours of endless fun. Come along to Garvey Park and explore the exciting thrills of Adventure Land, get creative in Fun Land, delight in the delicious treats in Food Land, have a go at a new talent in Sports Land, discover the fascinating future in Tomorrow Land and keep the littlies entertained in the safe play zone Toddler Town. Sunday 17th - Lunar New Year Lantern Festival, Northbridge

Take a stroll down William Street to see the beautiful red lanterns add a splash of colour to Northbridge as part of the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival. The festival will run along William Street, from Roe to Brisbane Street and features lion dancers, kids activities and roving entertainment in the event zone between Newcastle and Monger Street. 4pm - 9pm. Saturday 23rd - Fenian Festival Family Day, Fremantle

The Fenian Festival Family Day will be buzzing with free activities for all the family. The WA Maritime Museum is offering free entry all day (entry fees will however apply for their major exhibition). Listen to great stories, see a replica whale boat, make a model boat, follow the Shamrock trail, view the award winning children's movie Secret of Kells on the big screen, watch displays of traditional dancing and keep an eye out for talented young buskers. 10am - 5pm. Saturday 23rd - South Perth Sounds

The City of South Perth's annual South Perth Sounds Concert will return to Sir James Mitchell Park on Saturday 23 February 2019 with Australian rock legends, the Hoodoo Gurus set to headline the free community concert. Saturday 23rd - Illuminate Night Party Gosnells

The Illuminate Night Party showcases everything that makes Gosnells a great place to live. On Saturday 23 February 2019, Gosnells Oval will be filled with food stalls, children’s activities, roving performers, live music, carnival rides and heaps of fun for the whole family.
