We are lucky to live in a wonderful city that hosts so many free family friendly events, month after month. Here are the top FREE February Perth Family Events, so you can enjoy a day or night out with the family that won't break the bank.


Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th - Fringe World Buskers Weekender, Perth City

See the City come alive with wild performances from around the world.  The city malls will be packed with entertainment across 7 stages over 3 big days!  It's everything that's great about the FRINGE WORLD Festival, right in the heart of the city! This is busking entertainment but not as you know it. Forget what you may think you know and get ready for some of the wildest entertainment to ever hit the streets of Perth! Saturday 3rd – Jambo African Festival 2018, Innaloo

Sunday 4th – Summer Concerts in the Park, Floreat

Little Belle will take the stage at Floreat's Lawler Park. Suave and sophisticated with a sassy edge, Little Belle is made up of six highly sought-after Perth musicians. The dynamic band are determined to entertain with their uniquely versatile blend of musical styles from all genres, matched with a vivacious and classy attitude. With children’s activities including face-painting and a bouncy castle and food including pizza, ice cream and a sausage sizzle (or you can BYO a picnic), it’s an ideal way to round off a summer weekend. 5:30pm – 7pm. Monday 5th – High Wycombe Pop Up Play Day

Bring the kids and come along to this fun-packed, pop-up PLAY day! Fun for the whole family, this play day will feature: Sand pit toys, A pop-up City of Kalamunda Library, Nature scavenger hunt, Messy play, Water play, Chalk drawing, Sports and play equipment, Rock painting, Giant Bubbles And more! This free event will also feature PAWsome Pets Animal Farm. 9:30am – 11:30am. Saturday 10th – Perth Brazilian Street Party Parade and Carnaval, Elizabeth Quay

Bringing the Traditional and Iconic RIO CARNAVAL to Perth City right in front our own Bell Tower!! Street Party and Performances Starting at 4PM and the street parade beginning at 7PM. Saturday 10th – Summerset Concert Harts, The VANNS and guests, Innaloo

The Summerset Concert celebrates the final weekend of the Summerset arts festival with a musical treat and delicious eats. The Harts, The VANNs, the money war and Elli Schoen will all be performing on the night for an all-ages family friendly concert. 5pm – 9:30pm. Sunday 10th – Cockburn Central Community Concert

Daryl Braithwaite will be gracing the Cockburn stage at the annual free community concert. He's made a bit of a come-back in the last year across a broader age range and we can't wait to hear all his classic hits. This year's support act is James Wilson and the MC for the event is perthonality Tod Johnston. Sunday 11th – Dads Day Round 2, Guildford

DADS DAY Rnd 2 is a FREE FAMILY FUN DAY promoting the importance of Fathers to spend quality time with their kids. The objective is to help bond Dads, Fathers groups & Children from split families together. There will be farms animals, bouncy castles, games and activities, pony rides and more. This event is open & free to ANYONE who supports the importance of Dad's & their children spending quality time together. 12pm – 4pm. Sunday 11 – LeedyPalooza Unfair Day, Leederville

The best-worst family street fair you're most unwelcome to attend. The highlights include:
Wheel of Misfotune, Bad Family Portraits, Dumpster Disco, Misfortune Telling, Junkadelic, Fun Police, Pony Rides, Little Creatures Live, and more! Unfair Day will be regrettably unforgettable!

Saturday 17th – Illuminate Night Party, Gosnells

This is a free ticketed event. Killing Heidi will be kicking off the Homegrown Festival at the City’s brightest event, Illuminate Night Party presented by Act-Belong-Commit! In addition to the excitement on the main stage, roving performers, carnival rides, live art painting with Mel McVee, delicious food and much more will ensure there’s something for everyone. 5pm – 9pm. Sunday 18th – Kidz Fest, Garvey Park Ascot

Get ready for the City of Belmont's Kidz Fest! Garvey Park will be transformed into a fantasy land of fun. Kids aged three to 12 will enjoy a spectacular afternoon with a line-up of live entertainment, workshops, cuddly animals, games, rides and much more! Explore the entertainment and activities in Fun Land, Adventure Land, Tomorrow Land, Food Land and Sports Land. All activities, attractions and parking are FREE! Sunday 18th – Music at Murdoch

Sunday 18th – Perth Chinese New Year Fair, Northbridge

This multicultural extravaganza includes a parade, stalls, cultural activities, lion and dragon dancing, multicultural concert, games and rides. Friday 23rd to Monday 26th – Queens Baton Relay Celebrations, Various Locations around Perth

The Queen’s Baton Relay is a Games tradition that celebrates the Commonwealth’s diversity, inspires community pride and excites people about the world-class festival of sports and culture to come. The Queen’s Baton carries a message from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II that calls the Commonwealth’s athletes to come together in peaceful and friendly competition. Saturday 24th – Iluma-nate Pegasus Park Launch

Little Olympians, lovers of outdoor spaces & techies take note! The Pegasus Park Launch Party is happening on Saturday, February 24th at Iluma Private Estate in Bennett Springs. It's a celebration and we want you to come! Saturday 24th – Silent Screen + Live Sounds, Bassendean

The Town of Bassendean is joining forces with Telethon Community Cinemas and Old Perth Twilight Markets to bring you a totally FREE and fun night of live music, silent movies, food, stalls and more. Hop on board as Perth band Viola Dana performs live to Buster Keaton’s comedy classic, The General, taking you back to the 1920s film viewing experience. This FREE concert will feature Faith and Freedom, the music of George Michael performed by Perth Symphony Orchestra & the WAAPA Gospel Choir. The Perth Symphony Orchestra will be supported by renowned Perth Comedy Hypnotist Matt Hale, who will perform a hilarious interactive show where the audience are the stars!
