Top Free November Family Events Perth

We are lucky to live in a wonderful city that hosts so many free family friendly events, month after month. Here are the top FREE November 2017 Perth Family Events, so you can enjoy a day or night out with the family that won't break the bank.

Friday 3rd – Big Light Out, Faulkner Park Cloverdale

As the sun goes down, watch the Faulkner Civic Precinct come alive and burst with colour, light and sound! This new event will bring together modern technologies to indulge the senses through sound, vision and natural resources to create an illumination like no other. With activities and attractions to keep everyone amused from live creation glow murals for the artists at heart; inflatable games and glow crafts for the little ones; for the tech savvy generation the silent disco, glow golf within the glow zone and main staged entertainment will be a hit; and of course the neon body painting to make every man, woman and child stand out and glow for hours. 6:30pm – 9:30pm. Faulkner “Volcano” Park, Cloverdale.

Saturday 4th – SUP n Sizzle, JH Abrahams Reserve Crawley

Come down and try out some of the latest 2018 Stand Up Paddle boards from Starboard and follow it up with a sizzling sausage sandwich – all for FREE!!!!. 8am to 1pm.

Saturday 4th – Ballajura Festival, Ballajura Shopping Centre and Hub

Enjoy a beautiful spring day at Ballajura's newest family community event. This free event will include pop-up stalls, live shows, free kids' rides, car-boot sales, plus food and drink. The Community Stage will have music and comedy performances, prize draws and giveaways, on show all day! Endless activities at the library, aquatic centre and community centre for the whole family. So head on down for a fun day out with something for everyone! 10am – 3pm.

Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th – Jindee Sand Sculpture and Kids workshops, Jindalee

Legendary sand sculpture creator Tim Darby will be creating a new and different sand sculpture each weekend. Come and see amazing sea critters, turtles, surfing and more. And learn how to make them yourself. Take part in one of our free workshops for kids and start making these yourself. The workshops will be held each Saturday and Sunday from 10 till 1pm and 2 till 4 pm. Fancy a snack? When you´re done building your sandcastle, there will be FREE Pizza, Ice cream and Coffee waiting for you (print out free vouchers from their website) 10am – 4pm. Saturday 4th – Vale Display Village Activity Day, Aveley

Visit the Vale Display Village and explore the beautiful displays from WA's best builders while taking part in the free activities! From 2-4pm there will be a delicious FREE doughnut wall and coffee van on offer for parents and there will also be the Slime Science Lab and free balloon giveaways available to entertain the kids! 2pm – 4pm. Vale display village, Corner of Windermere Boulevard and Egerton Drive, Aveley.

Saturday 4th – Wright St Grand Launch Park Festival, Highgate

Head to Brigatti Gardens on Saturday 4th November, 3-6pm to find out more information on the exciting new apartment complex and have fun at the FREE community event. Food and wine tasting, entertainment, and activities for the kids are just some of the things you can enjoy. Corner Wright St & Broome St Highgate.

Sunday 5th - Subiaco Arts Centre 60th Anniversary Celebration

Come and celebrate Subiaco Arts Centre's 60th Anniversary. Join them for a FREE all-day event at 180 Hamersley Road Subiaco. Included in this exciting day is an Exhibition of the Centres history, short films for kids, story telling with Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, Face painting, Animal petting zoo, fairy floss, popcorn, outdoor light projections (from sunset) and live music with Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse. 11am – 8pm.

Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th – Kaleidoscope Festival, Joondalup City Centre

Set to transform Joondalup City Centre yet again into an extraordinary wonderland of electrifying illumination and art from Thursday 9th to Sunday 12th November. Over four evenings, Joondalup City Centre will become an interactive living, breathing entertainment hub, a true ‘City of the Future’. MUSIC & FOOD from 5pm, and LIGHTS ON from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.  This is a free event welcoming everyone to come and enjoy the wonder.

Friday 10th – Fusion Festival, Mills Park Beckenham

The City of Gosnells is proud to present its annual multicultural celebration, the Fusion Food and Culture Festival presented by Act-Belong Commit. An exciting fusion of diverse cultures brings Mills Park to life with global arts and crafts, live multicultural performances, children’s activities, a youth zone, carnival rides, tasty food and much more. 4pm – 9pm.

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th – Open House Perth, Various Locations

This is your chance to get inside some of Perth’s most iconic buildings and explore a different side to your city including the Bell Tower, St Georges Cathedral, His Majestys Theatre and many many more. To plan your day, and find out who is participating and opening times head to

Sunday 12th – Robot Park’s First Birthday, Piara Waters

BING BANG BOOP! It's Robot Park's first birthday and you're invited! Get ready for Robot giveaways galore, including balloons and lolly bags, and be prepared for hours of Robot-themed facepainting and a super fun photo booth! There will even be a spectacular donut wall for a special treat!  10am – 1pm.

Tuesday 14th – Playgroup WA Annual Fun Day, Dinosaur Playground Madeley

This year, Playgroup WA will bring the FARM to you! Prepare to get dirty and remember to wear ya' wellies and bring a spare change of clothes! There will be lots of wonderful activities to keep small hands busy and little bodies active including:  toddler mud maze, sensory play with grains and wool, sheep shearing toddler-style, cow milking for little hands, physical play, pony riding, animal farm, bouncy castle & face painting, mud kitchen and much more. 10am – 1pm. Dinosaur Playground, Goal Way Madeley.

Saturday 18th – Merge Festival, Civic Square Booragoon

Beat a path to Booragoon as the new City of Melville Merge Festival rolls into town! The Civic Square Precinct will be transformed into a bustling festival village with pop up venues, roving performers, art, family fun, markets, street food, live music, amazing authors and more!  1pm – 9pm.

Sunday 19th – Perth Scorchers Fan Day, WACA Perth (*Free for members, low cost for general public)

Head along to the Perth Scorchers Fan day for heaps of fun and activities. Once you are here, all activities are free, so it's a great day out for everyone! Some of the activities will include:  Meet the Perth Scorchers players,  Blaze and Amber appearances, Scorchers airbrush tattoos, Awesome balloon creations, Fan photo booth, Hair braiding and glitter, Caricature sketches, Inflatable flying wall, Inflatable obstacle course,  Dance classes and much, much more. Entry is free for WACA and Scorchers members and in2cricket registrants with a gold coin donation for the general public.  10am to 1pm.

Sunday 19th – Vic Park Summer Street Party

Local community group Vic. Park Collective will again join with event organisers UpBeat Events to bring to life the village-style street party for the Town of Victoria Park. Highlights of the Vic Park Summer Street Party Include  live summer music bands, food galore with alfresco offerings from local restaurants and cafes, family fun including Kanyana Wildlife, a special kids zone of free activities, face painting and plenty more fun for the kids, weird and wonderful art activations throughout the precinct, plenty of retail therapy with local retailer specials and market stalls plus roving entertainers that will perform around the festival village all day. 2pm – 9pm. Albany Hwy between Dane and Mint St, Easy Vic Park.

Friday 24th – Subiaco Christmas Night of Lights, Rokeby Road Subiaco

Subiaco's streets will transform into a Christmas wonderland; a reminiscent of ye olde European celebration, but across Rokeby Road! Enjoy a magical atmosphere as you wander across cute stalls, delicious food on offers, refreshing cold beverages, various Christmas-themed activities for all ages, and of course, Santa Claus himself. 4pm – 9pm.

Saturday 25th – Belmont Festival Finale, Faulkner Park Cloverdale

The Belmont Festival Finale has an exciting mix of free activities and entertainment including live music, energetic performances, FREE carnival rides, face painting and children’s art and crafts. The evening will end with a spectacular fireworks display. 4pm to 9pm. Faulkner Park, Cloverdale.

Saturday 25th – Whiteman Edge Display Village Activity Day

Visit the Whiteman Edge Display Village and explore the beautiful displays from WA's best builders while taking part in the free activities! From 2-4pm there will be a delicious FREE doughnut wall and coffee van on offer for parents and there will also be the Slime Science Lab and free balloon giveaways available to entertain the kids! 2pm – 4pm. Free Outdoor Cinema Events

Take advantage of the warmer evenings and head to one of the free outdoor movies being screened around Perth during November. Bring along a picnic for the ultimate cheap night out.
