Top Summer Outings for Under 5's

Keeping the little ones active and entertained in summer can be difficult when the mercury is soaring outside, so here are our best value for money recommendations for a fun outing with your toddler or preschooler this summer.

Maylands Waterland 

This is a water haven for kids under 5, with several shallow pools, play equipment and mini golf (small additional fee).  You can bring along a packed lunch or enjoy something from the kiosk. Best of all the whole family can enter for just $16.50 (up to 2 adults & 3 kids). It's open everyday up to the end of the April holidays. Find out more

Jungle Gym Willeton

Taking it indoors Jungle Jym Willeton is a "free play" toddler gym session for kids 12 months - 5 years. It's just $6.50 for two hours of jumping, climbing, swinging and slidding fun.  Every weekeday between 9.30-11.30am during the term or 9.30-11am in the school holidays and you can bring along a packed snack to enjoy on the fully fenced upper deck that over looks the gym. Rug Rats On Ice Xtreme Ice Mirrabooka

And if you really want to take getting out of the heat to the extreme, join in a Rug Rats On Ice Snow Play & Skate session kids 5 and under and their carers on Wednesday & Friday mornings of the school term from 10-12noon. Session costs $5 per adult and $10 per child and includes skate hire and a coffee.  You can also hire a penguin skating aid for $5 (usually $10). Find out more

Weekend Family Flicks Event Cinemas Morley & Innaloo

If you are looking for something to do do beat the heat on the weekends, most weekends Event Cinemas show family friendly movies and tickets are just $6 each. Aquamotion Wanneroo

If you are just after a good old fashioned swim to cool off, Aquamotion has free entry for kids under 5.  They have indoor and outdoor pools, a great little water playground and some play equipment in the big, shady grassed area outside.  There is a fantastic kiosk, bring along a picnic or make use of the free to use bbqs.  Find out more
