Rotary Park Wanneroo

Playground | Toilets | Footpaths | BBQs | Picnic Shelters

Well I can tell you this park is much improved from the Rotary Park Wanneroo my parents used to take me to for a quick 30 minute play get us out of the house years ago. Rotary Park is located on Scenic Drive in Wanneroo, and is nested alongside Joondalup Lake

This is no longer a park to take the kids to for a quick 30 minute play, your little one will need a good 2-3 hours minimum to explore & play this wonderful playground. There are several play areas with paths that wind in between them. There are so many different play experiences at this playground, there are slides, swings, musical instruments, a sand conveyor belt, a rock climbing wall and much more. There is also a wheelchair accessible swing.

For the parents there are 3 large undercover areas with barbeques and tables (not all of them have chairs with the tables), making this a great park for a kids birthday party or family get together. There are also bench seats and other seating areas at various spots around the playground so you can sit close to the play area to supervise your children.

There is plenty of shade and grassed areas to put down your picnic rug and there are pathways for little ones to ride their bikes or scooters as well as a shared pathway that runs along the lake so you can enjoy a family ride while you are here too. The playground is mostly fenced and the toilets are within the fenced area.

Safety Considerations

Snakes can be very active along the lake in the hotter months. The park is well fenced from the lake and swamp areas with cyclone mesh fencing which will prevent snakes entering the play area but something to just be mindful of if children wander towards shrub or swamp area this time of year.
