York Ice Cream Company Features: Open Sat / Sun & Public Holidays * Ice Cream * Olive Oil * Play Area

If you are visiting York on a weekend or public holiday then take a short turn before you get to York to visit the York Icecream Company. The York Icecream Company is located at the York Olive Oil Company, just off the Great Southern Hwy around 10 mins before your reach the York main town driving from Perth.

It's only open weekends and public holidays and other times are by appointment. The ice creamery and olive oil shop are located within the same building. 

The ice-cream comes in tubs which are $5 each (please see website for updated prices). You can choose from a delicious range of ice-creams, sorbets and frozen yogurts. My oldest son had the mango sorbet, I had the salted caramel ice-cream and our youngest had the chocolate, we all had a taste of each others and they were all delicious.

You can also taste their Olive Oils here, and browse the gifts throughout the store.  You can eat your ice-creams out the front of the store at a picnic table over looking the olive tree orchards.  There is also a small kids play area here which the kids loved. Since our visit they have added a flying fox / zip line to the playground!

We have found out since our visit that these are Funky Monkey Bars, and you can order them for your backyard online or visit their showroom in Yangebup. The kids absolutely loved playing here after their icecream. We visited on our way out of town so it was great for them to get a final stretch of their legs before they got in the car for the drive home. 

If you are in York with kids, make sure you put a visit to the York Ice Cream & Olive Oil Company on your list of things to do. Our stopped in for about 30 mins while we enjoyed our ice-cream and had a quick play. It was a nice last stop before we jumped back into the car to head back to Perth after a long day out in York. 

And if you aren't heading to York anytime soon you can also enjoy some York Ice-Cream Co ice-cream at the Cheese Barrel in the Swan Valley.
